South Korea and Vietnam − new destinations offered by SPEDCONT

PRESS RELEASE
Błonie, 3 June 2020
SPEDCONT, a part of the PEKAES Group is one of the leading FCL and LCL intermodal transport operators. Today, the company also offers container freight to and from South Korea and Vietnam.
South Korea and Vietnam is the most recent addition to the SPEDCONT service portfolio. The shippings are now delivered twice a week and the customers’ interest in the new destinations is steadily growing. The operator in the railway sector, specialised in intermodal shipping, offers arranging FCL and LCL shipping in both import and export destinations, using the operating railway connections on the New Silk Road. Customers can now use feeder lines from Chinese ports (Qingdao, Xiamen) to ports in South Korea and Vietnam.
The scale of our operations is growing. Every year we handle more and more volume of cargo on the New Silk Road. SPEDCONT has become an important partner in shipping cargo to this destination. Each week we operate four of our own consol boxes from and to China. In April we introduced new destinations to our offer. Each Wednesday and Friday the shipping containers leave the SPEDCONT terminal for Vietnam (Hai Phong/ Ho Chi Minh) and South Korea (Inchon/Pusan).says Marcin Dobruchowski, President of SPEDCONT Management Board.
The time the container takes to travel between Poland and South Korea or Vietnam is 25 days. SPEDCONT ships goods using road, sea and rail transport.
– We offer a complete service package in terms of transportation. The entire logistics, container rental, delivering it to the loading location and then to the customer by road are all up to us. We assist our Customers in settlement of fees for load transfers, provide customs clearance for import, export and transit shipping. Please note that we perform pooling and de-pooling of merchandise in the containers in our own SPEDCONT warehouse, a service our customers appreciate very much. adds Michał Gawin, Head of Operations, SPEDCONT.
The company has its own warehouse located in the SPEDCONT container terminal in Łódź. This way there is no need for the containers to leave the terminal. This not only reduces the cost of shipping services, but also reduces the travel time of the cargo by one day on average.
Since the launch of the New Silk Road project, the number of shipments has significantly increased, triggering a rapid development of intermodal services in the PEKAES Group. Our strong advantage is represented by own rail lines running from Polish seaports to the container terminals across the country.

PRESS RELEASE                                                                                                                 Błonie, 31 January 2018
PEKAES increase the warehouse space in Mazovia
PEKAES, a leading logistics operator, opened an additional high bay warehouse in Pass near Warsaw Branch Office. The building is designated to serve contract logistics projects. PEKAES Group plans to make further investments in new distribution terminal this year.

An additional PEKAES logistics warehouse in the Warsaw Branch allows for both the on-shelf storage and block stacking of goods. The building is managed by a modern WMS system.

Due to the rapid increase in volumes as part of LTL distribution, we decided to increase the warehouse space of the Warsaw Branch. We moved operations related to contract logistics to a new building located in Pass near Warsaw Branch, thus increasing the available space in the Warsaw distribution terminal. I would like to add that this year, we are planning further investments in terminal infrastructure – in February we will open another distribution terminal in western Poland – said Maciej Bachman, the CEO of PEKAES Group.

The newly opened PEKAES warehouse is located in close proximity to the distribution terminal of the Warsaw Branch. The building is located on the grounds of the P3 Błonie modern warehouse park, on 19 Passowska street in Pass. The close proximity of national road no. 92 and the A2 motorway ensures excellent connections to all destinations in Poland.
